See, my hair is naturally blonde. I've dyed it black/red for like, 4 years now. My hair is now almost light brown. Just before I found out the big news, I went from light blonde to burgundy. I haven't dyed my hair since, and I've been trying to strip the dye out so I can get it back to my natural color, or at least a shade close to it.
Now my hair is PRETTY close to the point where I can just have some blonde-ish dye thrown in there, but when I dyed my hair burgundy my roots had grown out like 4 inches. Now, there's about 2 inches that's slightly red, but the rest of my hair is faded down to a strawberry-blonde. I do NOT want to bleach my hair, but I also don't want to dye it and have this noticeable area of orangey-tinged hair around my head either. MOST of my hair can easily be dyed except this one specific area, all around my head. I'm worried that it might not come out good. I don't want to sit in a salon, and I don't wanna have to wait much longer to dye it. Any suggestions?

WARNING if you are pregnant you should not be using chemicals of any type. let it grow out naturally. between the growth in hormones (hair will also grow slightly faster)
and the fact that spring/summer are here the sun will lighten your roots anyway. But for your babies start to a great health DO NOT COLOR your hair during pregnancy...

Please talk to your ob-gyn before you do this. Some hair dyes can harm your baby.

I dyed my hair when I was pregnant with my Babygirl. She's as normal as can be. Started talking when she was 7 mths old and is now 3 at a 4 1/2 year old's mental level. Just do it in a ventilated room, open a window and use one like with the serum in it.
Honestly,

If you don't want to sit in a salon or wait to dye it, you'll be in for a big mess. You need to go to the salon to get high AND low lights to help the two colors blend. Plus, being that you're pregnant, you do not want to just color your whole head, you should not have the dye on your scalp. The chemicals leak into your skin, into your body, which is not the best thing for the baby. It probably won't do significant harm, but it should still be avoided.

You really shouldn't dye or bleach while pregnant. Consider a short cut for your summer hairdo. You will enjoy the convenience after the baby comes.

I was always told that when you are pregnant, you aren't suppose to dye your hair. Have you been doing this throughout your pregnancy? I don't know about the third trimester. I would ask my OB nurse or doctor before doing anything else.

I really don't think you are suppose to dye your hair while you are pregnant. I think you should talk to your doctor about this before you do anything, for health reasons. However, they used to make a dye that you could just comb into your hair where ever you wanted it and it was just temporary. You could ask at the drug store. But it think it was through a home catalog like Dr. Leonards or something else. But talk to you own Doctor first. You might do something like comb this one problem area to a bunch and braid it into one strand and then put in a pretty bow or barrette right where the color changes. Who knows you might start a whole new hair fashion.
