About 20 but they weren't curlers...my hair is naturally curly and it wasn't cool when I was in school to have all those curls. So I had to use those frozen orange juice cans. Poked holes in them and curled up the hair on them. Sound wonky but it worked and still does. But now I let it go natural and it's great.
