How can i keep hair silky?

How shall i maintain my hair. Ive got medium hair and im trying to grow it.

I live in London so please name shampoos and conditioners and hair products i can use (MALE)

I am trying to get it a bit big, like a rockstar look.

Its quite Dry and slightly unmanagable. I want it smooth silky, and holds in place.

Any tips

PS IVE HEARD PANTENE HELPS?

How can i keep hair silky?

It really depends on your hair I use Pantene once and it made my hair hard to straighten and my boyfriend's mom uses Pantene and it leaves her hair silky and smooth.

I reccomend shampooing and conditioning with Neutrogena Triple Moisture. Look at all of these great reviews of the shampoo condtioner and deep recovery hair mask and their website:

Healthy hair tips:

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled.

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week

Avoid combing hair while wet, use a wide tooth comb.

Deep condition twice a week

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water.

When using a conditioner leave on for about 1-3 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to have shiny hair

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in-... to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

If you dye your hair do it atleast once a year, hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill your hair.

All of these products work great on dry hair:

any brand will do.

just make sure you use the shampoo AND conditioner!

stay away from 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioners. they are not so good for your locks.

How can i keep hair silky?

well i use this stuff called tex. it makes it very smooth, silky, and shiny. i luv it!!!

How can i keep hair silky?

O.k., I know alot of rock stars and some of them have absolutelyl beautiful hair. I've asked them how they do it and they said they use Pantene (Shampoo and Conditioner), no blow drying AT ALL. Then, if you want to make your hair big, you can moose it up or use a styling gel.

Good luck!

How do mixed people/people with short curly hair apply product to their hair?

I just became 100% natural 6 months ago and my hair is about 2-3 inches unstreched i have corksrew curls shape like an z or a s that`s big as my pinky or a coffee stirrer. When i put a leave in(garnier frutis curls and shine) in my hair by smoothing it in the curls are gone so i would have to wash it out then i put in the gel by appllying it to my hair in 3 sections all in one time then i comp with my fingers, the curls appear but the IC gel leaves white stuff in my hair.I`m going to buy aubrey styling product that`s natural at a health store, but i want to know if there`s a way that short hair curlies apply product to their hair.Scrunching works well with people with long hair but when i did that with my ic gel it would make my hair look as if nothing was added.

How do mixed people/people with short curly hair apply product to their hair?

While you're in the shower (or with a spray bottle) wet your hair completely, apply a conditioner and comb through (get rid of all the tangles) ... rinse out the conditioner .... then apply a good moisturizing leave in conditioner.... then apply your styling product while you hair is wet and let it air dry (or use a diffuser to make it dry faster). The trick is to not comb your hair after applying your styling products because it will cause the hair to become frizzy/puffy... Use your fingers and let it dry naturally.... Spritz it with an oil sheen or glosser for shine.

I've heard some pretty good things about Bumble %26amp; Bumble - They have a hair line specifically for curly hair called Curl Conscious.

They're a bit on the expensive side though - usually sold in spas or salons.

Teenage hair loss?

okay so people have weird habits so mines was pulling out strands of my hair that had split ends.Okaii so one day when i was doing this i found a weird jelly thing at the tp of the strand. I then started to pull out strands looking for the weird jelly stuff. So one night at my friends sleepover i fell aslepp and i when i woke up and just lay there pretneding to sleep then my friends started taling about the bald patch that had formed at the bac of my head.I didnt think anything of it just tried to stop my weird habit. But when the popular girl of school came up to me and asked if i had allopesha i didnt know what to do.I knew i didnt have allopeesha as i had done this to my self and that made me so angry and ashamed. But my question is that if anyone in the uk has any suggestions of good products that help hair growth or something and if any one has any ideas of a hair style that helps cover my patch at the back of my head.It isnt that big but i need help.

Teenage hair loss?

Hi - sounds like you don't have alopecia, but rather trichotillomania, which often requires medical intervention. If you have stopped pulling your hair out, it will grow back soon, but if you haven't stopped, you should go to a doctor, and you might have to go on medication to stop the behavior. Can you talk to your parents about it?

There is some info. below, but read here to see what other people have done about it (click on the links to the right of the page):

http://www.trich.org/about_trich/success...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trichotillo...

http://www.trich.org/about_trich/

Trichotillomania (TTM) is an impulse disorder that causes people to pull out the hair from their scalp, eyelashes, eyebrows, or other parts of the body, resulting in noticeable bald patches. It is currently defined as an impulse-control disorder, but there are still questions about how it should be classified. It may seem, at times, to resemble a habit, an addiction, a tic disorder or an obsessive-compulsive disorder. It is estimated to affect one to two percent of the population, or four to eleven million Americans.

Who Gets Trichotillomania?

TTM seems to strike most frequently in the pre- or early adolescent years. The typical first-time hair puller is 12 years old, although TTM has affected people as young as one and as old as seventy. It is thought that ninety percent of those with TTM are women, but research is inconclusive and it may simply be the case that men are less likely to seek treatment and can more easily hide their symptoms. A form of TTM that affects very young children appears to occur in males and females at an equal rate and seems to be more benign in nature.

How Do I Know If I Have Trichotillomania?

Although the symptoms range greatly in severity, location on the body, and response to treatment, most people with TTM pull enough hair over a long enough period of time that they have bald spots on their heads (or missing eyelashes, eyebrows, pubic, or underarm hair), which they go to great lengths to cover with hairstyles, scarves or clothing, or makeup. The persistence of the compulsion can vary considerably: For some people, at some times, it is mild and can be quelled with a bit of extra awareness and concentration. For others, at times, the urge may be so strong that it makes thinking of anything else nearly impossible.

Why Doesn't Anyone Seem to Know about Trichotillomania?

TTM did not appear in the popular media in the United States until about 1989. As a result, many people with TTM have gone for many years without adequate Information about their condition, or appropriate treatment. Consequently, the one symptom that most people with TTM share is shame.

Teenage hair loss?

ouch.. i shall not comment on you pulling out your hair, but i shall say this.. try using olive oil. not the cooking type though. apply to your scalp at night before bed, and if u wish, shampoo it out in the mornings. i do that cos i cant stand the slightly greasy feel. but it really softens your hair. the vitE should help in hair growth.

for styles, i can only think of the ponytail. the high ponytail gives a nice innocent schoolgirl look. i hope ur patch is not too high though..

Teenage hair loss?

i have had alopecia areata, and im still 17. its a disease that gives u bald patches and guess what? there's no known cure. so i learnt some tricks. u can use eyeshadow/eyeliner of your hair color to cover small patches. to grow the hair back regaine 5% - a tropical medicine is very effective especially since u don't have a real problem. u'll see results in a week if followed properly. it may cost you upto 40$.

p.s. read the instructions on regaine before applying.

Teenage hair loss?

What you are doing is called Trichotillomania. "Hair Pulling". As far as products that will grow your hair back...do not use them. Once you stop using the products the hair can fall out and become worse...try pulling your hair back to cover it if it is long enough. And stop pulling. I have had this for 14 years. It is a heartache. See a doctor that can help you. This habit spirals out of control quickly and lots of people have it. Please feel free to email me at emt_hope911@yahoo.com if you need any further advise. My heart goes out to you.

How to wear my hair curly?

When I get out of the shower I really like how my hair looks its wavy but when it drys it gets SO puffy and big! How do I keep it looking tamed. Also, im not going to be able to use a blow dryer this summer so serums or gels that have to have a blow dryer with them I won't be able to use! Thanks so much for the help!

How to wear my hair curly?

It is called LOREAL MELTING GEL. It is very light, and won't dry all crusty like gels tend to do. What I do for my puffy, curly hair: I put a dab in my hands, and get them slightly wet before I put it on my hair. Roughly 50/50 mix. It's cheap, it works, and you stretch it by mixing it with water (plus it makes your hair look and feel natural. Important to me.)

Male trying to embrace my naturally wavy hair.?

Sure Wavy Hair looks nice on girls, sexy even. I'm ashamed of mine, its big and poofy and long, bunch of split ends. I dont even know what to do with it anymore. I'm not the type of crew cut guy, but every cut I like is for straight haired boys. I don't know what to do with my hair and its VERY distressing. I have no fasion expert friends so I dont know who to ask.

(The Picture of the Person that looks different than the others is obviously not me and what I dream of having)

Male trying to embrace my naturally wavy hair.?

You're gonna have to go to an expensive stylist. Once you get the cut, anyone can do it. Get your wallet out!

Male trying to embrace my naturally wavy hair.?

I feel your pain. I have the same type of hair. What you can do is to put a little bit of hair goo (not de-frizzer, that's just going to make it look greasy) or mousse in it and let it air dry. This works with all lengths.

If you do it and it looks a little flat on top go to the stylist and have him or her put layers in it so the top doesn't look flat anymore.

Male trying to embrace my naturally wavy hair.?

Well, I cant see ur pic (cuz i have to have ur password, I really dont want it) but any guy that can stan out in a crowd (in a good way) is hot...u dont want to be like every other guy out there,be unique....who cares wht other people think?

Male trying to embrace my naturally wavy hair.?

I know a bunch of hot guys with wavy hair! I couldn't open the pictures, but something on the shorter side should work, like 2-3 in. long. Have you ever heard of Dierks Bently, he had long hair until recently and his hair is curly. I personally think any hair style on a guy is hot, it's more about confidence and how you carry yourself! Good luck!

Male trying to embrace my naturally wavy hair.?

dude - be thankful you have hair.. at 33 mine is starting to fall out... just style it what looks good on you and never mind the fashions of the season

I want my hair platnum blonde hair!!! whats a good product to make it that way without going to the

i went to the salon last night to get my roots done and make my hair alot whiter, but my hair chick did something to it and its kinda sliver ish and funky. i have big plans tomorrow and i need it back to almost white. Whats a good product to make it turn platnium or really super white??

I want my hair platnum blonde hair!!! whats a good product to make it that way without going to the salon??

Okay. Quick fix : Go to the drugstore NOW and buy PANTENE SILVER EXPESSIONS in a blue bottle (mabie purple). Its specially made for that purpose. Ask the person at the counter. Youll thank me. My hair is highlighted and i used it %26amp;it turned white! i was mad, but youd love it %26amp; swear by it.

I want my hair platnum blonde hair!!! whats a good product to make it that way without going to the salon??

try those semi-permanent dyes. since your hair is already light maybe if you use a blonde color it will change it a little...i do that to keep my red and brunette looking good...and if you dont like it will wash off in a few shampoos....by the way i would go back to your hair lady and yell a little...i hate when ppl mess my hair!

I want my hair platnum blonde hair!!! whats a good product to make it that way without going to the salon??

Try the Dumb Blonde products. That should help you get back to the color you want.

I want my hair platnum blonde hair!!! whats a good product to make it that way without going to the salon??

Simple...bleach it!!! Althow it damages your hair BAD you will be almost as white as snow.

I want my hair platnum blonde hair!!! whats a good product to make it that way without going to the salon??

go back....she prob fix for little to no charge...if you have big plans tomorrow i would NOT try and do it yourself

I want my hair platnum blonde hair!!! whats a good product to make it that way without going to the salon??

Clairol Ultra Blue

I want my hair platnum blonde hair!!! whats a good product to make it that way without going to the salon??

Color enhanced shampoos with yellow will counter the violet. Also washing it several times will take it out, she obviously used a blue/violet base. Redken makes this shampoo I know for sure. Make sure you buy a good conditioner as well, climatress or Exsteme Conditioner by Redken is the best. Next time she should make you a golden or natural blonde not ash or platinum. It was to silver blue base for you. Try L'Oreal hair color, golden or natural Blonde at home products yourself.

I want my hair platnum blonde hair!!! whats a good product to make it that way without going to the salon??

Try picking up a purple tinted shampoo. Also, a few weeks ago I bought some Manic Panic "Virgin Snow" white toner for my hair and it worked well without giving it a purple tint the shampoo could sometimes leave behind and it's easy to use. I love Manic Panic.

Hair falling out and don't know why.?

Is it normal for a 15 year old girl to have hair fall out, its not that dramatic but i have to clean my rug (small one) every week and has a big hairball BIG! Then when i take a shower a lot comes out and when i wake up my pillow might have couple of hairstrands. Is it normal because of the weather or season change?

Hair falling out and don't know why.?

No. It is not normal. You might be losing your hair due to stress. Keep your hair trimmed to get rid of dead ends. If you start to see that the hair falling out is beginning to become exaggerated.. see a doctor because it might be something more serious than stress.

Hair falling out and don't know why.?

check the links below for natural homemade beauty tips to:-- Hairloss/Hairfall

http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-42eT_e8_b...

Hair falling out and don't know why.?

It's normal to lose about 100 hairs a day. If your hair loss seems excessive, it could be due to a medical problem. Some conditions can cause excessive hair loss, like anemia for instance. If your hair is otherwise healthy and you're not abusing it with chemicals like dye or perms, then it's probably just normal shedding.

Hair falling out and don't know why.?

if you use your hair straighteners to much then it could happen. if you use hair gel very often could also be the cause. you could also be have an allegory to your hair products it could also be down to stress. see you doctor

Damaged hair help please please please help!!!?

ok i no i always ask about damaged hair but i have tried everything .

in october i had a perm on bleached hair reson being i dident no it was a actual perm and i dident no not to.

a girl i no did it shes supsoed to have got her qualifications in hairdressing....anyway

i used to have sleek long lush hair now i have short hair that comes upto my neck its damaged brittle it sticks together if i dont blow dry it after washing i cant do nothing with it it is just a big frizzy mess!! i need some serios help!!!

Damaged hair help please please please help!!!?

sorry

Damaged hair help please please please help!!!?

Try putting mayo (seriously) in your hair for like 15-20 minutes then shampoo twice.

Damaged hair help please please please help!!!?

tell the girl you know your hair situation, if she has a degree she should give you hair treatment for freeeeee

Damaged hair help please please please help!!!?

You have over worked your hair. It needs a rest as well as conditioners and a shampoo that are totally or almost totally organic to bring it back to the way it should be.Go to a health food store and ask some questions about the right kind of hair care that would work. it will. work.

Damaged hair help please please please help!!!?

Cut it off short (1-2 inches) and start from scratch. Once your hair is damaged there is no way to fix it. Mayo, hot oils and deep conditioners may glue the split ends back together temporarily or make it feel softer for a little bit, but they will not improve the damage long term. Nothing can. Take this as a lesson. We all go thru it. Your hair is best the way it is naturally.

Damaged hair help please please please help!!!?

I hate to say it, but it sounds like you've pretty severely damaged your hair as you probably know already. Honestly, there's not much you're going to be able to do at this point since there's no real permanent fix for damaged hair besides removing it. Silicone based products can helps smooth the follicle but this can actually damage the hair more in the long run.

I think your best bet is to keep up a good conditioning regime, and cut as much as the damaged hair off as you feel comfortable with. Begin taking a supplement like biotin, it will help your new growth be healthier and stronger so hopefully it will break less and you can begin to regrow a healthy head of hair faster.

Anyone who offers you a treatment that's a professional is just kidding themselves or lying to you. Organic, 100% inorganic or not.. the only solution in the long run is going to be to cut off your hair - just make sure you take care of what you have that's good from here on out.

Damaged hair help please please please help!!!?

I've had a similar experience. Honestly, the only thing you can do is leave your hair alone for a while. Minimize your heat styling, and don't dye it. If you ever do decide to do anything to your hair (when it gets healthier) make sure you get it done at a good salon. They only real way to rid your hair of damage is to cut it off.

Damaged hair help please please please help!!!?

OH NO~ Ive had %26amp; seen so many mistakes like this! I tell people all the time "you get what you pay for"...MORE OFTEN THAN NOT you will get your desired results going to a "Texture Specialist" or "Master Hair Artist" at a pricier salon, rather than whoever at a mom %26amp; pop shop for more than one reasons!

Thats too bad the girl diodnt know that you cannot perm chemically treated hair! or it will severly damage if IT DOENT CRACK OFF! SINCE it happened and there is no going back...you need to INTENSELY condition WITH PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS what you have left. Professional Products are a higher "grade" and will be FAR more effective than any over the counter conditioners at walmart or riteaid. Especially so, if your hair has no "shine" and just hangs there - and it does sound like its in poor conditon. ALSO let it airdry WHENEVER possible...wash every other day to preserve your natural oils, AND SERIOUSLY TRY TO AVOID heat! thats my reccomedation as a Paul Mitchell Trained Professional

Goodluck

Hair removal cream?

Hi dear friends, I want to use hair removal cream but it says I shouldn閳ユ獩 use it for perianal and genital areas. And I always have a big problem shaving these areas in particular, can you please recommend any good and easy solution for removing hair off of these areas? Is there any special product or cream in the stores for these areas? Thank you very much in advance, all the best, Rojin

Hair removal cream?

A good product is Nair. They make a product specifically for those extra sensitive areas. Please be sure to follow the instructions and test it out on a small area before doing the whole thing.

Hair removal cream?

Nair

Hair removal cream?

they do make some specifically for those areas. keep looking

Hair removal cream?

try waxing or use a razor

Hair removal cream?

I use it there and I don't have any problems. Just don't leave it on for too long, because it will irritate you. 2D

Hair removal cream?

yeah use nair..its very good and it last for a long period of time.

Hair removal cream?

Have you considered waxing? Depilatory creams can be very harsh on skin that sensitive, and you don't want to give yourself a chemical burn down there.

Waxing last weeks and despite being painful, is over with pretty quickly.

Hair removal cream?

I have very dark hair and the creams never worked for me. If you are blond and your hair is fine it might work. It's messy, though. I use wax. The kind you melt in the microwave. The other kind is too messy and doesn't work well. Follow the directions, don't let it get hard and zip it off FAST. Yep, it hurts ... but only for a minute; then you've got smooth ... everything! ;-)

Hair removal cream?

nair or veet.

Hair removal cream?

i use Veet. it works good for me.

Hair removal cream?

whatever u do do not use nair, it will burn and bad... now as for a way to get rid of that hair the only thing i can suggest is to get it waxed, other than a razor that will be the safest way to remove that hair

Permanant hair straightening?

I was thinking about getting done but how bad is it for your hair? If you've had it done before..I would really appreciate you telling me how your hair turned out. =]

I have to straighten my hair everyday and I'm kinda tired of it. I have longer than shoulder length hair which is pretty thin. It tends to be straight up to my cheeks and then begins to curl/wave in random ways. I'm worried that because my hair is thin, it will get damaged easily.

If you could direct me in the way to go, it would be of big help to me!

Thank you for your time! :D

Permanant hair straightening?

First it depends on your type of hair. If your hair is fine, or color treated, you run the risk of burning it which will make it dry. If your hair is thick or brunette you would have a better chance of it looking nice. First, I would go to your local CVS, Duane Reade or whatever pharmacy chain you have and buy a deep conditioner such as Aussie 3 minute miracle and condition your hair for at least a week so that your hair is properly hydrated. Then you can do a test, they sell a product called "Easy Straight". There's two types, one that's supposed to last a week, and another for a month, neither will get your hair perfectly straight, but if done correctly, you will get an idea how it would look and it actually made my hair a bit nicer. I tried the week one. If you like the results, go to a salon that you trust and let themdo it professionally. good luck.

Permanant hair straightening?

lol good idea Report It

Permanant hair straightening?

no it actually helps ur hair

http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1530/496...

Permanant hair straightening?

ok. There is no such thing as PERMANENT straight hair. You could Relax your hair which should last three to six months. Down side... it fries your hair. I did it but i deep condition it every two weeks. It works though.

Permanant hair straightening?

My sister recently got it done and it looks great, however her ends needed to be cut because they ended up being dried out. Though she still has to straighten it it takes little effort. I think it really depends on your type of hair, but hers was really thick. It does look so much better now, but you are going to get it done the salon said you can't have bleached your hair I think within a year or two so I would check with your salon first so you know ahead of time. They also reccomend deep conditioning. Best of luck!

Permanant hair straightening?

well.. my friend got her hair permanant straightened.

and it looks GREAT.

i am gonna get mine permanant straightened tomorrow too :]

the thing is.. your ends will be splited out like about 1~2years after you got your hair straightened.

its kinda bad for your hair.

but while you are having your permanant straighten, your hair will be really soft(for like a year or so.)

you should get them:]

its looks great.

i am getting my hair done tomorrow too:]

good luck

You are a nice looking girl. Beautiful eyes. Your bones are fine.

Now, stop plucking those eyebrows and stop the brat pout. It puts little pouches at the sides of your mouth.

If you want fuller looking lips, puff your cheeks out with air and let it blow out your mouth, then relax your mouth.

For your hair, I wouldn't do the blond. Think about a warm brown with auburn highlights. Get some light layers to add swing and movement.

Hair help plz, pics included this time?

i think you should dye it a really dark chocolate brown

and stop doing the weird trout pout

it just means the way you push your lips out is too forced doesnt matter how big your lips are just smile naturally it will look much better

Hair help plz, pics included this time?

I don't really think your face looks that bad at all. It's quite a nice shape (in my opinion). maybe you would look could if you went for bangs? Not too thick..just wispyish bangs?

Hair help plz, pics included this time?

Your gorgeous, and you face isnt fat.

You hair looks awesome the way it is.

but if you really wanna change it, then maybe go a brown?

Hair help plz, pics included this time?

How old are you? because i think your gorgeous.

I like the red personally, but if you want to dye it, i'd go for Chocolate brown like the other poster said.

Its your hair tho, so make your own decision :)

Hair help plz, pics included this time?

NO your face is very slender

I think you should go blonde

It'd look great

Hair help plz, pics included this time?

your face is NOT fat at all.

and i like your hair color its pretty. maybe go for a layered edgier look. you might look like haley williams. (from paramore)

Hair help plz, pics included this time?

I think you should have your hair like a golden blonde with subtle highlights and dark blonde lowlights. And your face is definitely NOT fat, but I think your features would stand out more if you filled in your brows.

Hair help plz, pics included this time?

Go two(or three/four) tones! Somehow girls with two tones hair turns me on(just my opinion though hehe). I have the links to pics of two tone hair i'll email you cause I can't send it over here because of a "999 error". And about your lips, there's no need for a pout when you take a picture lol!. Just an honest smile will do.

Hair help plz, pics included this time?

You look like Jojo! You have really nice skin and if you want to dye your hair you should dye it something like this color:

http://i20.ebayimg.com/04/i/000/b4/a0/7b...

By the way, you don't have a fat face, it's just your face shape that is round.

My hair!! a style i want to try...?

I used to have side bangs, but i didnt realize it, and now i want them. Like, thin ones... not the really big ones like ashley tisdale. And i want to get the top layer of my hair a little shorter then the bottom part so it kind of curves in a little, and the bottom part is longer and curves out. is there a name for that? and can anyone get me picture of it? my hair is really thick too, so will that work? its brown, and long right now, i want to get it medium.. not that short. i really need help with this. i am 12. i have brown hair.

My hair!! a style i want to try...?

12 is a PEFECT age to get side-bangs. I'm 14 and I have them. I got them when I was 12. Ok, do it like Jessica Alba's. I think that's what you're talking about. Here's a picture. Show a salonist this picute so they'll know what to do.

Jessica Alba

My hair!! a style i want to try...?

woah.. weird i'm 12 and i have thick hair..

well it not like a OMG! thing but yea...

hahaha

anyway...

I don't have a picture but i think if you do get one

you'll look GOOD and HOT!

hehehe

My hair!! a style i want to try...?

yea I'm 12 too...so weird. anyways and i have the thickest hair in the world and small side bangs all dark brown.i think Medea is perfect but since Ur hair is so think it might be kind of annoying to have it shorter. but i think that hair style would work perfectly on u!!

Hair help...(colorwise)?

I went to the salon yesterday and asked for some low lights, a brown with a LITTLE red tint - she showed me on the color swatch and I found the perfect shade. But...I ended up with chunky maroon lowlights. My hair was blonde before, and I wanted to keep it majority blonde...but the red is taking over and I'm kind of unhappy. I wouldn't call it a total disaster but I'd like to see a LOT more blonde in my hair. I don't want to go back there, because I feel like it would be a big slap in the face to the stylist....what can I do? If I wait a bit, and give it a few shampoos, will it begin to fade to an even lighter red??

Hair help...(colorwise)?

Please don't feel weird about going back to the salon to have the stylist fix it. Even if it's another stylist that does the fixing. You are a paying customer and should get what you expected to get and nothing less.

Hair help...(colorwise)?

i would go back to the salon as you have paid good money but if you really do not want to go back try wash ing your hair with warmer temperature water this will help to fade it x x

Hair help...(colorwise)?

You know how there are shampoos especially for keeping your newly colored hair from fading? Well, I'm guessing if you just buy and use regular shampoos, the fading process will go a lot faster. I don't know that for sure, but I'm assuming.

Hair help...(colorwise)?

yes, please go back.

I know you will feel bad, but overall a good stylist wants you to be happy--really.

i have had t go back once, it was akward at first, but in the end we were all very happy.

Hair help...(colorwise)?

When your hair fades (and trust me..it will fade fast, due to the color being red..the fastest fading color) it wont be a lighter version of what you wanted. It will most likely turn a brassy off red color. You need to call the salon and ask to speak to the manager. Explain your situation and ask if she might be able to do a color correction herself or set you up with a stylist who is more experienced with color. This way you can save yourself the anxiety of going through another color process with the same stylist as before. Youre a paying customer and the salon needs to know what areas they need to improve on. Its a business..so their feelings shouldnt be involved. Be brave and bold and go get the color you payed for! :)

HOLLISTER-rabbit hair?!?EWW?

http://www.hollisterco.ca/webapp/wcs/sto...

i jsut bought this sweater from holsiter yesterday i got it in grey... its really cute isnt it? ya n it was on sale for $18.90 which is amazin jsut it use 2 b like $50 n in canad its only on cleaence fro like $40..soo its a really good price.. my grandma innocently (when i got home) asked me what the material is made out of (thats jsut a grandma think 2 ask isnt it?) well i found out tis 55% cotton 35%vsicoe (or soemthin) And 15% RABBIT HAIR!!!!!!!!! eww did ne one else no that hollister makes stuff wiht rabbit hair!1 i wearin the sweater now but im sorta paranoid about the white things stickin out is that rabbit hair? n im allergic 2 wool would i b allergic 2 this?! ANDD my grandma said the blend like all the material 2gether so i cant b seeing pieces of rabbit heair they make it into one big mixture like cake batter is that tru???

HOLLISTER-rabbit hair?!?EWW?

OMG. I was just at Hollister Saturday with my bestfriend and her mom and we were at the clearence and her mom offered to buy us both something and we were at the table you were at. So after looking for a while and we found what we were looking for, we saw that it was 15% rabbit hair and she was like "ewwwwwww.... grooossssss" lol. but yeah. its nasty. I got this shirt in grey

http://www.hollisterco.com/webapp/wcs/st...

HOLLISTER-rabbit hair?!?EWW?

heyy.

idk if you'll be allergic but just to reassure you they have big rabbits and they shear them like sheep so i don't think its killing for fur!

HOLLISTER-rabbit hair?!?EWW?

1) Nothing from Hollister is cute.

2) Learn to spell.

3) Why would you care?

HOLLISTER-rabbit hair?!?EWW?

woah!!!!!!

HOLLISTER-rabbit hair?!?EWW?

OMG!!! EWWW!!!!!!! I didn't know that, the sweater is so adorable I love it, but eww!! I hope not!!!! OMG! lol鈾モ櫏

HOLLISTER-rabbit hair?!?EWW?

Angora, rabbit hair, is used in a ton of clothes to make them softer. It's not just Hollister.

HOLLISTER-rabbit hair?!?EWW?

theres nothing wrong with rabbit fur.. i dont want to sound all spiritual or anything but the people up north use rabbit fur for alot of things and its good quality fur and keeps you warm

and also, no offense, but you should read over what you type and fix the mistakes

HOLLISTER-rabbit hair?!?EWW?

Many sweaters today are made with angora rabbit hair. It's one of the most popular sweater materials out there. And if you are allergic to wool you aren't necessarily allergic to angora, but if you start getting stuffy or have itchy eyes while wearing it, I'd reccommend not wearing it anymore. And yes, the materials (wool, cotton, vicrose, angora) are all woven together to blend into one soft material for the sweater. If the rabbit hair grosses you out, think of it like wool being sheared from a sheep. Rabbits are not killed for angora. The hair is either shaved or combed from the animal (falls out naturally).

Who is this redhead? I love her hair!!!?

Ok, she was in a Lifetime movie where she was married to this mean old rich man, and she started having an affair with his young hot son. It's really confusing, but in the end it's revealed that the son and his accomplice, some other woman, killed his father. Oh, and the redhead I'm asking about is killed in the end. The son and his accomplice ride off together at the very end of the movie. If you know what the name of this movie is, that would be a big help too.

But this woman had incredible long shiny layered red hair. She might have been on some MAXIM list, or something like that too. I don't know, but I need to know who she is. I want to search for her on the net and get some pictures to show my hair stylist!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Who is this redhead? I love her hair!!!?

thats a big search. you don't know the title or the actors.

but since its a lifetime movie, try looking here:

Would u take a big bite of someones chest hair for a million dollars?

Would u take a big bite of someones chest hair for a million dollars?

I have really straight hair...?

how can i get the big curls like in the magazines? do i have to have long hair to do that?

I have really straight hair...?

hot iron, hot rollers, curling gel.

I have really straight hair...?

You could always try hot rollers. That's what my grandmother (she's 56, not an old timer) uses for her straight hair.

I have really straight hair...?

well I cant tell how long your hair is. But they use big hot rollers, and curling irons. They also use s oft product like mousse the helps hold the curl but gives the soft look. :-D

I have really straight hair...?

put a small amount of gel into your hair (make sure its wet) then put your hair into curlers and blow dry it this works for me or you can use the same tecnique but with dry hair using a curling iron

Hair opinions please?

I ask hair questions a lot, but I just want some opinions about my hair.

I'm a guy and I want long hair. The bottom layer is about the length I want the whole thing to -- shoulder length. My question is, does it look damaged(the shorter layers)? Do I need to trim all over or just keep the bottom stable trimmed until it's all one length? Also, I guess bangs would look weird with it but some people say my forehead is too big to not have bangs...um, any thoughts?

I know I look REALLY gay in the pic with my hair pulled up, but it's just to show my face shape and forehead. Apologize in advance for the gayness lol.

Hair opinions please?

The second picture looks good. Have your hair done something like that.

Hair opinions please?

ewwww. cut it all!!

Hair opinions please?

OMFG -- YOUR SO CUTE

=]

dont do a thing, just have a trim.

when the hair is down it's adorable :']

Hair opinions please?

it looks better with the bangs

Hair opinions please?

dont do any thing to your hair its perfect the way it is

Hair opinions please?

I think you should just get a trim.

You don't look gay, seeing as you look completely attractive in those photos. You have gorgeous eyes. And you take good pictures!

But back to the hair...I LOVE IT.

Hair opinions please?

Oh my lord you look like my dog scruffy. Cuuuuuuuutttttttt it.

Hair opinions please?

so are you gay or trying to look gay because i honestly thought you were a girl....

personally id cut it if you dont want to look gay.. anyhow... if you would like to grow it....

get an all over trim to start with then take good hair of your hair.... usually the more hair is exposed to sun. wind. heat. etc the more damaged it is- usually the top layers get damaged more than the under layers. Get a good trim top start and then get a good shampoo and conditioner for dry hair and the condition of it should improve after about a month

Hair opinions please?

I suggest you get your hair thinned out (layers). It won't be so thick around the sides and so "puffy".

Also, if I were you, I'd either get my bangs cut so they weren't in my eyes. Alternatively, you could push them to the side, but your hair's a little too wavy for that.

Just my suggestion! Do whatever you want dude, it's up to you.

Hair opinions please?

ur so cute!!! its fine...just get it trimmed lik an inch and itl be hot!

Does the shampoo BIG SEXY HAIR work well?!?

never used it lol, but good luck

Does the shampoo BIG SEXY HAIR work well?!?

Does the shampoo BIG SEXY HAIR work well?!?

I want straighter hair permanetly?

on good days my hair is generally messy uneven waves, with more curls underneath if i tie it back right after a wash with leave in conditioner. if i left it to naturally dry it would be a big mess of frizz and curls and yuk. ive been researching and ive decided on a home straightening kit. i know theres dangers to it but im gonna have a helper and if i follow the directions exactly they say it should be alright. my hair is thick and healthy although i did have the top part bleached a few months ago. is that a problem? is there a difference between thermal reconditioning, chemical straightening, japenease straightening and relaxing? are they all avaliable in 'at home' kits? what are the safest/cheapest? some i read just make your hair lightly wavey and not compleatly straight, that is okay with me. i would like it to last though until my hair grows out. anyone had any expirience? tips and advice please and thank you.

I want straighter hair permanetly?

shave it and wear a wig or enjoy the hair that you have

I want straighter hair permanetly?

my mom had it done and it fried her hair her hair fell out alots too. her hair use to be so thick and healthy but after that it thin and brittle. you could always go buy a straightner range from 20 dollars to over 100. i have one that is great chi 1 inch 100 dollars. to me its that best. add some shine serum right before blow drying if you do blow dry if not then tahts fines too. i know this isnt waht you want to hear but telling you that maybe this would be better.

I want straighter hair permanetly?

my g/f had very curly hair, and got hers permanetly straightened, and it looked gross and dry and sad after.

you mght want to try the relaxing technique? i guess its the safest method.

I want straighter hair permanetly?

*RELAXING is the only method to permanently straighten*

my advice would to not do it. first of all, those are some strong chemicals that you're putting on your hair and it could possibly burn your scalp or even your hair, especially since you have bleach highlights. relaxers come in different levels and if you use the wrong level it's not going to be a good experience. all of those "kits" are not available to the public. and just like with highlights, you will have to "touch up" your roots because they are going to grown back in curly. So your new growth will be curly while the rest it straight, so once you start chemically straightening you can't really just stop.

to make your curly hair not frizz, products are your best friend. don't be afraid to use a lot. its not going to be the kind of curls you can run your fingers through, but its going going to look good and hold up. you can make what is called a cosmetologist's cocktail and mix as many products as you want. i would suggest a mouse, gel and pomade. it will define your curls and it won't be frizzy.

if you're still dead set on straightening it, then don't mess with at home kits and just pay the money to get it done. your hair is the accessory you wear every day and you shouldn't risk it falling out.

I want straighter hair permanetly?

To tell you the truth, I would not recommend you doing this at home. It may well end with you having to buy a wig.... I have seen some horrible disasters from home hair experimentation. I am a hair dresser and I usually am trying to fix what people have tried to do to their own hair. I strongly recommend that you do not use straightening products on hair that has been bleached. Look for a style that suits your hair type or invest in a straightening iron......

HAIR cut!!!!!?

i have a oval shaped head but with a slight point on my chin

like herface

http://myspace-784.vo.llnwd.net/00466/48...

i have side bangs like this photo but i have dark brown hair kinda blondish highlights in sun and sometimes a bit red i have a pretty big forehead wich is why i have bangs lol

but my bangs are thin like this

http://teamsugar.com/files/images/File04...

could u show me some pics of what i should get??

HAIR cut!!!!!?

http://bangs.hairresources.net/eyebrow_b...

Because of your forehead, you can pull of a full on bang like in the picture. =]

HAIR cut!!!!!?

the first pic you put on there would fit!

HAIR cut!!!!!?

IS that how your hair looks!!! no no no plz don't get a hair cut your hair must be beautiful I really wish my hair was like that I am a brunette Im white and I wish I had bangs that pretty don't even take a chance. but you may be getting tired of your bangs.

Quick and easy hair STYLES?

So i have long (right above my chest) brown poofy hair that is thin and a lot of it! It wont hold a curl, i don't want to straighten it too much because i don't want to damage it since i'm trying to grow it out longer. I'm not big on braids because i'm brown (puerto rican) so i look like an indian and i'm not too big on that and messy buns and pony tails are too easy... any ideas?

p.s. since i haven't been straightening my hair so much my hair isn't so poofy and it even has some SLIGHT curls randomly in it so it's not too bad if i just shower and put a side part... oh and any ideas for making my hair grow faster would be great too!

Quick and easy hair STYLES?

put this spray from VO5 in it and it will give you beachy curls/waves, just wash it out and redo it everyday

Quick and easy hair STYLES?

ok my hair is exactly like yours but blonde and what i do is i blow dry it..then i kinda give a little side bang not much at all then bend over and put my hair as high as i can not to high then act like you are putting in a pony tail but make it a bun then take 2 bobypins and pin the sides of the bun to the top of your head and another bobypin for any loose hairs under neath...thats it!

Absalom had long hair?

So I was watching this movie on King David. In this one part Absalom tried to take over his father's kingdom and they had this big war.

There's a part of the movie where Absalom is running away from the soldiers and his hair gets caught in some tree branches and they kill him.

My question is this....wasn't it a sin for men to have long hair back then?? I think they really exagerated the length of his hair in the movie but in real life....his hair would have still had to been LONG to get caught up in trees branches.

What do you guys think?

Absalom had long hair?

The passage about Absalom getting his hair caught in the tree is Biblical (actually, some translations suggest that was his head rather than his hair). Anyway, many men had long hair in those days. You've doubtless read the Old Testament story of Samson and his long hair.

Absalom had long hair?

no

the sin was "rounding the corners of your hair as a guy"

you know the friars are the ones in sin over this issue

Absalom had no requirement to keep short hair

yet for the Modern Christian,

the subject is contentious, but it is according to 1 Corinthians 11:14 a shame for a man to have long locks of hair

Now in the old Testament, you aught to look at Samson,

He was blessed, if he kept his hair long, with super strength

Absalom had long hair?

I don't see why it would be a sin to have long hair "back then" any more than it would be now, and I think it is very likely that Absalom had long hair - pretty hard to get stuck in a tree by your hair if it's not pretty long.

Absalom had long hair?

It goes with biblical principle that "long hair is a curse to "him" who wears it."

Absalom had long hair?

there was no rule which made men cut their hair short, not then and not now.

And The story in the bible claims that Absalom was famous for his beauty, which in old times, probably referred to long beautiful hair, and was riding wildly on a Mule while escaping, and in his hurry, he rode under a type of tree that is easy to have such hair entangled in the growth.

I have really thick hair. Help!!?

Here's a picture of my hair: http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a391/G... This I think was just after washing it and it had probably only been dry for aout half an hour. After it dries and I wear it down all day it's probably about twice as big. Normally I wear it in a ponytail all the time because it's so thick and it's so hot out. It's about two inches shorter now but it still looks about the same. It's super thick and I even have layers and have had it razored but it doesn't help. What kind of style can I put it in that's cute but by the end of the day it's not huge. I have that dent from where I wear it in a ponytail so often. Also I wear it in a jaw clip but because of my layers it falls down really easy. Straightening doesn't work for me either. I have two straightening irons and all they do is make my hair shiny. My curling iron puts my hair in spirals for days but my hair ends up smelling burnt. Help me please...

I have really thick hair. Help!!?

Try Sunsilk Shampoo in the green "De-Frizz" formula. I used to have really thick, craaazyyy hair, but I tried the shampoo, conditioner, and the 24/7 creme and my hair actually makes curls now! Also, if your hair is really thick, it's best to keep it longer. It poofs up a lot less because it's heavier. Also, for products, you can try Fredrick Fekkai defrizzing, but it's pricier than Sunsilk.

I have really thick hair. Help!!?

there's no pic..

I have really thick hair. Help!!?

And you complaining

I have really thick hair. Help!!?

your hair sounds like the kind of hair most people want, i dont see why youre bitching.

I have really thick hair. Help!!?

i cant see the picture but im taking your word for it being really thick...

next time you go to get your hair cut, ask to get it thinned

i do that everytime i go and my sorta-thick hair feels great afterwards, and its a lot easier to wash... and for me (i dont know about the place you go) they do it for free as part of the haircut

I have really thick hair. Help!!?

theres no pic..

I have really thick hair. Help!!?

i feel your pain girl. i have really thick, wavy, frizzy hair. my straightener seems to work perfectly on mine. but i have some ideas that might help you. ask your hairdresser for a leave in conditioner spray that is made to help frizz. this will take some of the volume out of it. when you get out of the shower, put it in a braid. just a small messy one, it doesnt have to be perfect. let it dry overnight, and when you take it out, it should be more tamed. DONT BRUSH IT. brushing it will only let all the volume loose.

if the curling iron is working for you, keep going with it. try a smoothing gel to make it stay shiny and smell nice. i use garnier fructices smoothing gel. good luck (:

I have really thick hair. Help!!?

I have hair like that. Try pigtails. They're cute, can be easily fixed, and keep your hair out of your face.

I have really thick hair. Help!!?

The file for your picture is no longer there.

Your hair sounds beautiful. have you tried braids and updos? They can be tricky with layers, but they will get your hair off your face and neck and look pretty, neat and pulled together all day.

I have really thick hair. Help!!?

i don't see a picture but what you can tell your stylist to do is to thin it out with thinning shears. you can also put some kind of heavy product in your hair damp or dry to weight her hair down if you think it is to big.

I have really thick hair. Help!!?

Ok I too have the same problem, firstly what you need to do is go down to a specialist hair stoire (somewhere where they sell heaps of different type of proffesional types of products) then get something for thick / frizzy hair.

Do a treatment in your hair, then when you have washed your hair, dry it with a hair dryer, start from the bottom and work you waup as you straighten it. Make sure the you use a heat product so you don't burn your hair.

This porcedure is the same if you want to curl it as well.

For a natural look you the shampoo, conditioner and tratment and put some serum in your hair as it drys naturally. This will help tame your hair and take some of the boofy ness out!!!

Also if you want layers in your hair make sure you do long layers and not too many as they will create volume, hence extra unwanted boofyness.

My hair doesnt scrunch?

my hair looks good for about 10 minutes?

then it just gets poofy and ugly.

i am kind of done with trying?

Sometimes, i do put a lot of mouse in my wet hair, go to sleep then try to scrunch it and it works but it looks like a big mess! not even curls, just a big tangle.

How can i go this:

- i dont want to use a curling iron, they never work on my head...

also, i want my hair like one of these to keep easy throughout the hot summer weather.

thanks!

My hair doesnt scrunch?

I hate to tell you this...but all of those hairstyles were made with curling irons.

My hair doesnt scrunch?

HeY you dont have to use mousse, but heres something that really works!:]

for beachy waves like ashleys in the first pic, but your hair into 2 large pigtail braids (just put a hair tie on the end, not near your head) and leave it in overnight spray some hair spray and a tad bit of mousse. wake up, take braids out, voila

or blow dry your hair with a diffuser and brush creating twists. it works for me, but my hair is naturally kinda wavy but worth a shot!:]

hope i help!=]

My hair doesnt scrunch?

Idk

My hair doesnt scrunch?

all of those styles were definitly done with a curling iron.

but if you want scrunchy hair try this....

comb your hair while your in the shower.

when you get out wrap your hair in a towel and leave it there for a good half an hour or so leaving it time to semi-dry.

take it down and put some mousse and hairspray.

blowdry your hair while scrunching at the same time and it should scrunch and it wont leave you looking like you just stepped out of the shower!

My hair doesnt scrunch?

after u come out of the shower towel dry ur hair untill its damp than either

tightly braid ur hair [like pony tails] and ull get waves

OR

get peices of towel like strips or matieral and rap ur hair around it than tie it in a knot and sleep on it than in the morning un tie it

OR

after ur hair is dry hot rollers

OR

get ur hair permed

OR

put ur hair in pigtails... if its long enough to but curlers in it and let it dry completly

if u like the way it looks in the pig tails than take the ties out and itll look alot better if it didnt work proprly take a LIL bit of musse and scurnch it so u have the curl from B4 and now u have made it springyer* [if thts a word lol]

Hair Dye & Bleach...?

I've been dyeing/highlighting my hair since I was in 6th grade. I'm in 10th now, and I've had no problems with thinning or anything.

My natural color is dark brown and I dye it in steps to light brown.

Last time I dyed it, which was the middle of October. This time I used bleach first, and this is the first time I ever did.

Lately I've been noticing that a lot of my hair has been on my shirts and sweatshirts. And I don't know if I'm paranoid or something, but I think my hair feels thinner. As in when it's in a pony tail, it's not as big.

Would the bleach have a dramatic effect?

I really would rather not stop dying my hair. But I don't know if I need to, or if the bleach was just a bad idea.

Thanks so much.

Hair Dye %26amp; Bleach...?

bleaching and hair dying ALWAYS ruins hair (unless it's natural dye like henna)

try some deep conditioning treatments once or twice a week that should help

Hair Dye %26amp; Bleach...?

bleaching doesn't completely ruin your hair, but it does damage it a bit. naturally i have dark brown hair and now i have veryyyy bleach blonde hair with black and red chunks in it. i suggest you invest in some "anti-snap" by Redken. it comes in a blue container. Put that in your hair after you shower before bed and leave it in over night. Also, don't wash your hair everyday. When you shoer, just condtion it, don't use shampoo. Shampoo takes out all the natrual oils in your hair which dries it out and the bleach already dried out your hair enough as it is. Also, get a heat activated hair treatment. Put it in your hair and blow dry it and then rinse it out.

Hair Dye %26amp; Bleach...?

Henna is the WORST thing for hair. It seals the hair so completely that you can't do any other chemical treatment on it until it's cut out.

Anyways...bleach is damaging. Color is damaging also, but not like bleach. It could have put too much stress on your scalp, and you could be losing it. It could also be breaking off midshaft. You might have to start really taking care of your hair right now, and be really gentle with it. Buy yourself a good shampoo and conditioner. If you can't afford professional, I always liked Aussie 3 Minute Miracle. If you can find it, Terax Crema is excellent also. If you can afford it, try Sebastian Potion 9. It is great for repairing damaged hair. You might just have to lay off any heating appliances for a little while.

Hair Dye %26amp; Bleach...?

people naturally shed hair too. certain times of the year are worse than others, but just take care of your hair with the right shampoo and cond. and it will be okay. if you are really conserned go to your stylist and ask them how your hair is.

Anyone know anything about thinning hair in females aged 20-25?

im 23 with shoulder length hair, and im noticing that its falling out more often, and in bigger amounts. i know its normal for hair to fall out, but i know its not normal when i notice my ponytail getting thinner. this has been going on for about a month, with no sign of it stopping, or even slowing down. ive been to the doctors, had blood work, and so far i still know nothing. so if anyone out there, knows something that might help, or if you have any ideas of any remedies, please tell me. im desperate.

Anyone know anything about thinning hair in females aged 20-25?

Have your thyroid checked!

Anyone know anything about thinning hair in females aged 20-25?

i am not as young as you but my hair has been falling out for 10 years .it is very stressful are you on the birth pill or got throid trouble check it out

Anyone know anything about thinning hair in females aged 20-25?

Do you by chance smoke dope? Do you eat right?

Anyone know anything about thinning hair in females aged 20-25?

I had the same problem. I am currently 25 and my hair was falling out to the point where I would have to sweep the bathroom floor multiple times a day to keep it clean of hair. My problem was the depo-vera shot. It made me depressed and my hair fell out. This stuff is like poison in your body. I had to go on anti-depressants for the depression, and I have now been off of the depo for a year. My hair has stopped falling out, and even seems to have grown back a little. One thing I recommend is that shorter hair looks fuller. I cut my hair and it really made a difference in the look of the fullness.

Also, I had talked to my doctor and my gyno about these problems and they all thought I was nuts. I had blood drawn about 5 times, with all normal readings. I even went to a specialist for my thryoid and they found nothing. It was all the depo!

I teamed up with a chiropractor who specializes in home and herbal remedies and he gave me some pills and a cream that helped get this stuff out of my system. My friend also had similiar problems, but hers also went into her joints from the depo (she was on it much longer than me.) The chiropractor said that this stuff was bad news and got us fixed up. We called it "detox from depo."

Hair straightening dilemma???

whenever i straighten my hair it looks really nice at the sides, but then at the back i cant do it properly so theres always a big bump. How can i stop this from happening and can anyone reccommend any good heat defence sprays? i am currently using Tresemme heat defence spray smooth as i have tresemme jade hair straighteners. What do u think of these 2 products? Also how much spray should i apply??? Thanx love 2 all xx

Hair straightening dilemma???

use the GHD spray from the website.. its really good!

Hair straightening dilemma???

use conditioners as said by the beautician.

dont wash ur hair under extreme cold or extreme hot conditions..,since this may spoil the straightness of the hair.

use only prefered shampoos rather using anything else for urgent sake!

Hair straightening dilemma???

I never use any specific product.

I straighten my hair in sections, I pull almost all of it up except for a small amount in the back. Then let a little more down until you are done.

If you are left with a bump, you are trying to straighten to large of a section at once. Make sure to bring the straightener as close to the roots as possible, and always angle the straightener down rather than outwards.

Hope this helps!

Hair straightening dilemma???

bend over forward with ur head upside down then straighten ur hair thats what i do so theyres no bump at the back cause i can never reach that far.

i've never tried the tresemme heat defence spray or the straighteners, i use ghds and john fredda heat frizz spray.

Hair straightening dilemma???

in my opinion you should use natural straightening method, it won't cause any hair damage, and it's really simple. Here's one: http://www.jurgita.com/articles-id12.htm...

Hair straightening dilemma???

I've found that Chi offers a great line of products specifically for straightened hair styles. Personally I didn't have a couple hundred to drop on the Chi brand straightener BUT the products are awsome! they make my Walmart bargain straightener smooth it all out. They have heat defense built in plus smoothers. Go to the salon and look for red metal bottles, all marked with CHI really big on them.

Hair straightening dilemma???

Yeah i know that sometimes happens to me aswell lol!:D

Like ashleytisdalefan said try the GHD hair serum/spray thing ive got that to and its really good.

What hairstraightner have you got? Try using hairdressing clips, (you can get them cheap) and clips parts of your back and it should keep it out of the way! and straighten your hair in little parts that should help!!!

MY hair is so horrible!?

It's normally nice and silky, but last night I dyed it, and how it's a big knot when it dries and it is rough and feels like horse hair.

What can I do to make it better by tomrrow?!

MY hair is so horrible!?

i am a colorist...you NEED to go to a beauty supply store and get some thing called a "clear"...it refers to a packet of clear coat or "glaze".. It adds weight protien and ultimately shine and softness. It replenishes what your hair was stripped of in the dying process. It is only about 10 $ and comes in a power and liquid form..either will work and you will LOVE your new hair, good luck!

MY hair is so horrible!?

The dryness... is from the hair color... give it a couple days and it will feel smooth and silky again!!!

Just make sure to condition lots!

MY hair is so horrible!?

put in leave in conditioner, moisteriser, antifrizz or detangler. or all of them at once

MY hair is so horrible!?

deep condition it. you can use mayo, egg yolks, olive oil...just wash it out, ok?

MY hair is so horrible!?

Moisture!

Best recipe I know is 4 parts conditioner, 1 part clear aloe gel, 1 part honey. Leave it in for a while (like an hour or two), then rinse it out. If you don't have the aloe, just a conditioner-honey mixture can give awesome results, too.

Eggs are full of protein. Depending on the person, they can make hair seem dry. I'd save them for another time.

MY hair is so horrible!?

deep condition your hair.

use coconut oil, or a regular conditioner, and let it sit in your hair for an hour (or longer), then wash your hair as you normally would.

My hair is majorly frizzy. I have tried everything I know to do. None of the products for white peop

my hair. I have a friend that does hair that my hair is like African- American hair. Does anyone out there know what I can put on my hair to help with the frizzys, or to help me smooth it down so its not so big? Thanks for any and all help I can get.

My hair is majorly frizzy. I have tried everything I know to do. None of the products for white people work on

my daughter is half black and what i use on her hair is extra strength FRIZZ EASE,or johnson and johnson has this detangler conditioner(Buddies) for kids. you are supposed to wash it out but I dont because her hair is sooo dry. It really defines her curls. Both products work great for frizzy hair.

My hair is majorly frizzy. I have tried everything I know to do. None of the products for white people work on

frizze ease its the best i have found

My hair is majorly frizzy. I have tried everything I know to do. None of the products for white people work on

depends on what kind of style you want. Maybe try some of the many hair care products out there for african american hair.

MAKEUP and HAIR 4 SCHOOL :) ????????

Sorry, but a rule is a rule. No makeup for school, only weekends. But, maybe go beyond with the hair. Do some crazii hair color or hairstyle for every week or something.

MAKEUP and HAIR 4 SCHOOL :) ????????

Its good to look natural for school, no-one to impress.

But when you go out in evenings %26amp; weekends, people will look at you like wow! she looks good :).

Maybe just dye your hair blonde and dye eyelashes, your eyelashes will stand out more then with blonde hair

:) x

MAKEUP and HAIR 4 SCHOOL :) ????????

Could supershort hair work on me?

My hair is pretty short now (see avatar) and most people think I look good with short hair. I have an oval face, high cheekbones, full lips and normal sized straight nose, and big eyes. I'm 5'5 and 140 lbs, but curvy (36D-28-38) with a large frame, and people generally think I'm taller and thinner than I am. My hair is naturall pretty straight and flat, and dyed dark auburn. I'm thinking like Alyssa Milano's old cut or Natalie Portman several months post-V for Vendetta

Could supershort hair work on me?

It's hard to say without really seeing you. Personally, I think hair makes girls look so pretty and feminine. Even when I a girl with a short haircut that looks great, a picture with slightly longer hair often looks even better.

It does depend a LOT though on the look you're going for.

Could supershort hair work on me?

I think you should keep the same length.

Why not just dye your hair different color instead

Could supershort hair work on me?

inverted bob

Hair style's for long long ,curly, frizzy hair?

I have long, thick curly hair that is up to my butt.I always wear it in a ponytail co'z it's too frizzy %26amp; messy to let it down. And Sri Lanka's hot and humide climate makes it worse. I use have used differant brands of frizz control products (John Frida,L'oreal) but none of them have made a big difference.

Any ideas how I can wear it loose ?

Hair style's for long long ,curly, frizzy hair?

John Frieda and Kerastase alone didn't do the trick for me, I hear you.

What I do is: I wash my hair (still using an anti frizz shampoo like any of those above mentioned), then I comb it (with a comb with wide teeth because wet hair is very delicate) and then I put coconut oil cream on it and leave it to dry natural.

The curls remain less frizzy like that and very cute.

Hair style's for long long ,curly, frizzy hair?

When its still damp from washing it, get your straighteners (if you have some, if not go and buy!!) and run them through your hair until its dry. It should, for the time being, be very straight. THEN apply your serum, liberally over the hair, but try to avoid going into the roots, otherwise you may look a bit greasy. Apply wax at the tips of the hair, to weight it down a little, and prevent it springing back into a curl so easily.

It probably won't stay completely straight, but I reckon you are likely to get a nice silky wave rather than frizz.

Hair style's for long long ,curly, frizzy hair?

Use an iron (like the one you use to iron clothes), it worked for my sister! Iron it straight then it should be easier to style.

Blake Livleys Hair - Help!?

So i love Blakes hair, I love those curls she has. And i want to do that, The thing is i have naturally curly hair and its straightend right now .. and its already late at night and wanna wear my hair like this to school tomorrow.

My hair is below my shoulders just a tad, and yeah, i have a very big curling iron and hot rollers to work with (The rollers are medium size, and dont work very well) So please help me.

Heres the Look:

http://seat42f.com/site/images/stories/t...

Thanks,

Blake Livleys Hair - Help!?

it is NOT gonna work if you do it tonight...you HAVE to do it in the morning or it wont work.....beauty is pain...sorry! Well if you do do it in the morning, take the curling iron and wrap your hair around the barrel without clamping it. It will come out beautiful! After, use hairspray and lightly mist it...also, if you have a curl activating spray, spray that in your hair before you curl it. Do it section by section (take 1 section of hair, spray, then curl) until you get your desired affect!!!!!! Good Luck! Hope I helped

or you could sleep w/ the rollers in but you said they dont work well so that might not be a very good idea.....

Blake Livleys Hair - Help!?

omg, i love her hair, too

i can never achieve it, but thats probably because i dont have a big curling iron, lol

but i think you should use that, and curl mid-shaft, and after the result is done, pull apart some curls, to make a piece-y look

How should i get my hair cut?

I am 17 years old and i will be a senior in high school come September.

Right now, my hair is at about the middle of my back. I am a brunette and i have pretty fine textured hair, but a decent amount of it. my face is oval shaped (i think) - not oblong, but proportionate, and i am 5'8" with a slender to normal body (i do have a pretty large chest, though).

my hair is wavy/curly (if i don't dry it - even when it was to my collar bones - the bottom will turn into about six big banana curls, and the top will be wavy). However, my curl is pretty weak, and easy enough to make into a straighter style providing there isn't too much humidity outside.

I don't want to spend an hour each morning on my hair, but i don't mind devoting a little extra time to it. The thing is, i really want to cut my hair short - super short. Will a pixie cut work on me, or should i try something else? a bob? Ahhhh!! Please help me!!!! THANKS!!

How should i get my hair cut?

get a taper it works great for me it is short and you can ask the barber to make it from anywhere to 8 to 1 i have three but thats jus me.......

when i first started i started from 8 and started going down till i got to a comfortable number you do the same if you deside to get it

Shoulder Lenght hair with bangs???

I have medium long hair, very curly-wavy, a lot of hair, and it fizzes. I was thinking to try a new look. Would a haircut shoulder length with side bangs. Sort of like Vanessa Ann Hudgens hair in her music video Say Ok, go good with my type of hair. Of coarse i would have to streighten my hair so it would look like i want it. I have have a circle-oval shaped head. With big cheeks.

HELP!!!!!!!!!

Shoulder Lenght hair with bangs???

No!

Dont get bangs.

Bangs wont suit you, and you have to lengthen you face, because its a bit round.

Get your hair like this

You have a round face if it is as wide as it is long. However, this can vary slightly and your face might be slightly less wide than long.

With a round face you need a hairstyle that is longer than chin length. A chin length style would accentuate the round face. If you prefer short hair however you should opt for a swept back style.

Avoid very short crops, haircuts with straight bangs and center parts. A side swept fringe would be ok and could even have a flattering effect. Side fringes can make your face look narrower.

Layer the top and keep the rest of the hair close to the face. It will make the shape of your face look longer. Try to avoid big curly hairdos because again it would add volume to the side and makes the face look wider. You need less volume at the sides because that would make your face look wider and more volume on the top to make it look longer.

The widest part of your face is where your ears and cheeks are and you must avoid having the weight line of the hairstyle in this area. It would make your face look even wider.

You have a round face if it is as wide as it is long. However, this can vary slightly and your face might be slightly less wide than long.

http://www.hairfinder.com/hairquestions/...

I suggest you get your hair done like this...

http://a1259.g.akamai.net/f/1259/5586/1d...

Shoulder Lenght hair with bangs???

shorter hair with a rounder face would kinda make ur face look well fat.

Shoulder Lenght hair with bangs???

don't get something as short as vanessa. i have the same type of hair. probably shoulder length is a better length for curly wavy hair and an circular face. it won't make your face look fat and looks decent curly and straight

Shoulder Lenght hair with bangs???

bangs are hot, but i don't know about on your hair type. if you are feeling lazy and don't straighten your hair, it may be too short/shirley templeish. if you straighten ev day, it would be cute, but i would get longer sideswept bangs, kinda like nicole richie has had. also, make sure you go to a really good stylish. it's worth the price and she/he will know what is best for your hair type.

Shoulder Lenght hair with bangs???

I love that cut on her. It would look good! I have a round face and I just got this cut: http://www.monstersandcritics.com/people... I have naturally wavy hair and I have to straighten my hair every day too, but it takes alot less time to style it since I cut it and sometimes I like to style it wavy like this: http://www.beautyriot.com/article.php?id... ( minus the flower) People have told me this cut is way more flattering than my thick long hair was before. Go for it, change is good!

Shoulder Lenght hair with bangs???

I don't think that you would be happy with having to straighten your hair every single day for it not to look a hot mess. Hot mess means basically not very cute. Because when your just bumming around, you don't wanna have to straighten your hair just to go to the grocery store. I mean i cut my hair short and I had to blow dry or i was like OMG! what a hot mess. It was a hassale. Just stick to something that is easier to deal with than straightening thick curly/ wavy hair. =]] I hope this helps.

Ohh, but don't get me wrong, hair like that would be very cute on you, I am just saying, it WILL be a hassle. =]

Shoulder Lenght hair with bangs???

I myself have bangs, with shoulder length hair, and I love this style...What I like about it, is that you can put it up in a high pony tail, with bangs, it looks very cute-sy!

*Also, before you get out the scissors, I would suggest you go to this virtual site, that's very cool....It's called, "sunsilkgangofgirls.com".
