im 23 with shoulder length hair, and im noticing that its falling out more often, and in bigger amounts. i know its normal for hair to fall out, but i know its not normal when i notice my ponytail getting thinner. this has been going on for about a month, with no sign of it stopping, or even slowing down. ive been to the doctors, had blood work, and so far i still know nothing. so if anyone out there, knows something that might help, or if you have any ideas of any remedies, please tell me. im desperate.

I had the same problem. I am currently 25 and my hair was falling out to the point where I would have to sweep the bathroom floor multiple times a day to keep it clean of hair. My problem was the depo-vera shot. It made me depressed and my hair fell out. This stuff is like poison in your body. I had to go on anti-depressants for the depression, and I have now been off of the depo for a year. My hair has stopped falling out, and even seems to have grown back a little. One thing I recommend is that shorter hair looks fuller. I cut my hair and it really made a difference in the look of the fullness.
Also, I had talked to my doctor and my gyno about these problems and they all thought I was nuts. I had blood drawn about 5 times, with all normal readings. I even went to a specialist for my thryoid and they found nothing. It was all the depo!
I teamed up with a chiropractor who specializes in home and herbal remedies and he gave me some pills and a cream that helped get this stuff out of my system. My friend also had similiar problems, but hers also went into her joints from the depo (she was on it much longer than me.) The chiropractor said that this stuff was bad news and got us fixed up. We called it "detox from depo."
