How could I remove build up from my hair?

I color my hair and I have alot of static in my hair. I have to put it up because the static is big time. I was told not to use clarifying shampoo and baking soda, so what can I use to get build up out of my hair without stripping my color?

A shampoo and conditioner for color-treated hair may help you. The shampoo will remove the buildup. The conditioner will provide moisture to get rid of the static.

Also, if you are trying to protect and preserve your color (and minimize static), wrap your hair up at night in a silk/satin scarf or sleep on a silk/ satin pillowcase. Cotton sheets and pillowcases can be harsh on hair and stirp the hair of the natural oils that it needs to be soft and shiny. If you are wearing a lot of hats this winter, try to wear ones that hvae silk/satin linings in them.

Hope this helps.

What type of build up?? hair product?? The static is from being dry.. use hair conditioner.. and you should change your brand of shampoo every month to avoid build up.. Using a ACV Rinse can remove build up and will leave your hair shiny. You take 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar and 1/2 cup warm water and wash your hair like you normally would. Also you might want to double the amount depending on the length of your hair. Besides that I don't know what to tell ya. Hope this works. Peace.

just use a clarifying shampoo (no baking soda, but wash your hair 2 or 3 times the first time you use a clarifying shampoo) then switch back and forth every othertime you wash your hair between normal shampoo and clarifying shampoo. also make sure you deep condition your hair once a week it will help keep your color from dulling and keep it shiny and healthy.

ps-make sure every product you use says it is safe for color treated hair
