i have a mix between blackpeeps and white peeps hair and i cant wair it down because it gets so big and poofy, any way a can keep it calm? p.s antifrizz dont work, i need like secret tips or somethin lol thx

You can use more fortifying oils like olive sesame or canola....but you can also use (like I do) suntan oil...which smells better (which is the reason I use it)...put a few drops in the palm of one hand. Rub both hands together and apply them to the frizziest parts of your hair. be careful to not look over greasy. I recommend trying this method in small increments when you have time to spare...after all you don't want your hair to look too greasy at an important interview or appointment!

my roomate had hair like that. She used headbands and ALOT of mouse, like several handfuls and didn't rinse all of the conditioner ot of her hair, it kept the frizz down and weighed her hair down so it wasnt quite as curly.

The best way would be to get it chemically straightend wich will last for about six months to a year but its costly. Or you should buy a salon straightning iron which can also be expensive but it will last longer than having your hair chemically done.

I have answered this question before. Search the answers and you will see some of what I've said. Basically it's because we have special hair, and it denies conventional wisdom - moisture is the enemy and it makes the curls more frizzy. You need to get your hair very clean and dry, then flatiron it in small sections, with a hot ceramic flatiron. Then you can apply a little serum to control the little remaining frizzies and you'll get what's in my photo below.

I had mine chemically straightened and it didn't really work. I still had to flatiron, although it cut my flatironing time in half because my hair was 'less curly' - it was still very wavy.

My GF uses hand lotion. it doesn't look oily, or feel oily. I gave her a funny look the first time I saw her do it, but it works for her. also she pats her hair dry instead of shaking it with the towel or blow-drying it.

I have really curly natural hair, not as curly as yours sounds, but I went and bought myself a hair straightener. Not a cheap one, a brand name expensive one. I don'y have a curly haired day anymore, unless I get rained on! Then I am back to the bathroom to straighten it again. Takes time to learn how to do it quick, but I didn't care because I could finally wear my hair down without it looking messy and boofy!!
